Private Performance Coaching with Antonio Davis
One Athlete.One Coach.Every Detail.
There is training.
And then there is training built entirely around you.
Private Performance Coaching is the highest level of access to the Antonio Davis Trainer methodology — assessment, individualized programming, movement analysis, performance development and one-on-one coaching designed around a single athlete.
You.
Every Client Starts With an Exam.
Private training does not begin with a workout.
It begins with understanding the person who is going to be trained.
Every Antonio Davis Trainer client must complete the appropriate proficiency examination before entering a training program.
For athletes:
Total Athletic Proficiency Exam — TAP
For adult fitness clients:
Total Physical Proficiency Exam — TPP
The TAP or TPP is not an optional add-on. It is the entrée into Antonio Davis Trainer services.
Assess First.
Train Second.
Before Antonio decides what you should do, he first wants to understand what you need. The examination creates the starting point from which subsequent training decisions are made.
This Is Not an Hour With a Trainer.
It's a program built around an athlete.
Traditional personal training often begins when the client walks through the door and ends when the session is over.
Antonio's private coaching begins much earlier.
I don't decide what we're doing when you walk through the door. I want to know why we're doing it before you arrive.
He considers:
- Assessment findings
- How the athlete moves
- What the athlete's sport requires
- Training history
- Current strengths
- Physical limitations
- Movement tendencies
- Schedule
- Practice demands
- Competition schedule
- Recovery
- Goals
- Mindset
- Training response
The workout becomes the result of those considerations.
The ADT Private Experience
Six Steps. One Athlete.
Examine
Every relationship begins with the appropriate proficiency examination. For athletes: TAP — Total Athletic Proficiency Exam. For adult clients: TPP — Total Physical Proficiency Exam. This examination is mandatory before training services begin.
You wouldn't build a house without examining the ground first. I don't build training programs without examining the person first.
Understand
Once the examination provides a baseline, Antonio looks deeper. Goals. History. Sport. Movement. Strengths. Weaknesses. Expectations. Training schedule. Competition schedule. Lifestyle demands.
The individual comes before the program.
Design
Antonio develops training based on what he observes rather than simply following a predetermined workout template. No two athletes should automatically receive identical programs simply because they play the same sport or are the same age.
The program follows the athlete — not the other way around.
Coach
Antonio sees every repetition. Foot position. Body position. Timing. Control. Effort. Technique. Response. Fatigue. Confidence. Antonio can make adjustments in real time.
Nothing hides in one-on-one training.
Adjust
Individualized programming should evolve. Athletes change. Schedules change. Sports seasons change. Bodies change. Goals change. Training should respond accordingly.
Change the plan when necessary. Never lose sight of the trajectory.
Develop
The objective is not simply completing sessions. The objective is measurable long-term development.
Stronger. More efficient. More confident. More prepared.
Private vs. Group Training
Every Format Has a Purpose.
Group Programs Provide
- Energy
- Community
- Competition
- General athletic development
Private Coaching Provides
One Athlete
The session revolves around one individual's needs.
One Program
Programming can be adjusted specifically around that athlete.
One Set of Eyes
Antonio can observe every repetition.
One Development Plan
Progression can happen according to the athlete rather than the group.
Group training develops athletes together. Private coaching allows us to go deeper.
Private Means Private.
Antonio intentionally limits his private-client roster.
The purpose is not artificial scarcity. It is quality control. Antonio cannot provide a high level of individual attention to an unlimited number of athletes.
I choose my clients with great care because private coaching requires more than a time slot. It requires my attention before, during and after the session.
Private coaching availability may be limited. Prospective clients should first complete the appropriate TAP or TPP examination and then discuss whether private coaching is the appropriate next step.

The Luxury Isn't the Facility.
It's the Attention.
Luxury in performance training isn't marble floors or fancy towels. It's having a coach know why you're there. Knowing your examination results. Knowing your history. Knowing what you did last session. Knowing what you need today. Watching the detail other people miss. Changing the program when necessary. Remembering the goal.
Attention Is the Ultimate Premium Service.
Nothing Random.
No exercise is included simply because it looks impressive. No drill is selected because it happens to be trending. No session exists simply to exhaust the athlete.
If there isn't a good answer, it doesn't belong in the program.
Every exercise should answer:
Why this?
Why now?
Why for this athlete?
Find the 2%.
Large performance improvements are often built from small refinements.
Foot placement
Timing
Position
Technique
Recovery
Consistency
One additional repetition performed correctly
One detail noticed
One habit improved
Find the 2% other people overlook. Then find another 2% tomorrow.

It Doesn't Have to Look Impressive.
It Has to Work.
Antonio does not design exercises for social media. Some of the most effective work may look remarkably simple.

The goal isn't to make training look difficult. The goal is to make the athlete better.
Return to Performance
Cleared Doesn't Always Mean Confident.
Some athletes finish rehabilitation medically cleared but still need to rebuild strength, movement confidence, athletic capacity, change of direction, deceleration, coordination and sport-specific demands. Antonio's role is post-clearance performance development — not medical treatment.

Investment
Private Coaching Is an Investment in Development.
All prospective clients begin with the appropriate TAP or TPP examination before private-training options are discussed.
After the assessment, Antonio can better determine what the client needs, what level of service is appropriate, whether private coaching is the right fit, and what training structure makes sense.
Private coaching programs and investment are discussed after your proficiency examination, once Antonio understands your needs and determines the appropriate training path.
